Meet Cheryl

My name is Cheryl Gribskov.  It seems rather strange to have my own website. In fact, it took quite a while to feel the “call” to put it together, and then I was propelled into enthusiastically put words to paper.

I am currently in charge of a quasi-public organization.  During my twenty-seven year tenure the job has taught me all about politics, personnel, team-building, management concepts, budget revisions and coalition building.

While doing my job, I ran a parallel path in spiritual learning.  I learned that I could affect legislation more positively if I surrendered it to Higher Wisdom.  I learned that forgiveness and compassion were more effective disciplinary tools than the written notices or confrontational meetings that I was taught to use.

I attended weekend retreats and continually learned about the ancient wisdom of chakras.  By the time I left the last retreat, I knew I had to know everything about this powerful system. By 1996, I was teaching small groups in my hometown and surrounding areas.

I didn’t stop there, of course. I studied other spiritual paths, including three years at seminary where I learned much about the historical Jesus.

I’ve been a seeker since I was old enough to know that the higher power was much more significant than Peter Pan (at five years old going to Never Never Land would be heaven). I am a New Thought, Buddhist, Native American, Celtic and Hindu celebrant.  In some areas I know much; in others I still savor new teachings as I discover new texts.  I am fortunate to be part of classes that help me to grow in my relationship with God through the use of amazing tools.  I hang with Methodists and Congregationalists, find common ground with conservative Christians and through it all learn new ways to pray and meditate.

I am now excitedly ready to teach what I’ve learned.  That’s what has propelled me to create the website right now.  The Spirit is emerging for us all to find ways to be of service to one another.

I can’t wait to meet you.
